Katie Perkins - Violin
​
Katie started taking piano lessons at age 4 and violin at age 8. Classically trained on the Suzuki method, she has years of experience with solo performance, orchestral work, small ensembles, and professional gigs. She began teaching private lessons on violin in 2008, and her students range from 8 to 68 years old.
Her credits include numerous leadership positions as principal second violin, assistant concertmaster, and concertmaster in school and community orchestras, including Maitland Middle School, Winter Park High School, Florida Young Artist's Orchestra, UCF Symphony Orchestra, and the Great Woods Chamber Orchestra. She was invited to perform at the Midwest Conference and Carnegie Hall in 2006 and 2007.
